Abstract:	法國社會學者阿部瓦赫思(Maurice Halbwachs, 1877-1945)，做為涂爾幹的重要弟子，長久來被英文、中文世界忽略。然而，他畢生所開展社會學事業，舉凡社會形態學、經濟社會學、社會階級研究、自殺論研究、乃至於到較精神層面的記憶社會學、群體意識的探討，都看出他在社會學界的貢獻。另外，阿氏所處的兩次戰爭期的微妙時代，正巧上承涂爾幹，下啟第三代法國社會學的發展，補強了法國社會科學界於三０、四０年代的學術觀點與豐富性。這位深受涂爾幹思維影響、但同時也吸收柏格森(H. Bergson) 的意識流哲學、韋伯等觀點的社會學家的研究與思想，究竟在法國社會學界佔據怎樣的地位呢？涂爾幹的集體意識與社會事實的命題預設展現在他的階級研究、記憶社會學研究之中，呈現怎樣研究成果與學術延伸？而這樣繼承「涂爾幹思維」開展出其他領域的研究者，又對後世代來怎樣的啟發與影響？本研究的核心關懷即從上述提問展開，希望能透過相關理論的閱讀與整理、分析來釐清阿氏在思想上承繼涂爾幹的部分，藉此指出其在法國社會思想史上的承先啟後。而他對於法國往後其他學科乃至對美國知識社會學發展的影響，在學術上有其偉大貢獻。這樣的一條法式記憶社會學，對當前台灣社會的研究能提供怎樣的啟發，也是值得我們深究的。 French Sociologist Maurice Halbwachs (1877-1945), as an important disciple of Emile Durkheim has been forgotten for a long time. Nevertheless, his sociological career, including Social Morphology, Economic Sociology, Social Class study, Suicide study and finally his Sociology of Memory, show his great contribution in our academic field. Born in late 19th century with the solid formation from Henri Bergson and the first generation of the French sociologists, Halbwachs had inherited not only the most central perspective of Durkheim, but had been inspired by the theory of Max Weber(His is also the first who had introduced Weber in French ). This research seeks how this French thinker could synthesize these several representative thoughts and research methodologies to accomplish his studies of the Sociology of Memory. By doing so, we want to renew his academic reputation and indicate that his indispensable status in the field of Sociology, even in the field of social science. This research starts from the reading of Halbwachs’sociological works, it will investigate the tightly linkage of thought enter Durkheim and Halbwachs, and furthermore, make sure that Durkheim’s perspective influence certainly the new branch of the French Sociology of Knowledge, in other words, the Sociology of Memory. By the way, it also want to indicate the very impact of the Halbwachs’thought for the French Annales School and American Sociology of Knowledge.
