    Abstract: JC病毒殼體可用在臨床偵測抗體,但是由於該抗原與抗體之間的反應性尚無研究報告,因此我們藉由Hemagglutination inhibition及Immunoblot的方法瞭解其間反應。由於JC病毒殼體蛋白具有血球凝集的特性,所以當其免疫動物或被感染人體所產生之Antiserum便具有血球凝集抑制的現象。結果發現兔子Anti-capsid及人類JCV positive antiserum相同皆具有血球凝集抑制的現象,但兔子Anti-JCV VP1/.DELTA.pFlag抗體(Anti-denatured VP1 serum)不具有血球凝集抑制的現象。由血球凝集抑制反應的結果發現Native與Denatured抗原所產生的抗體反應有所不同,可能是血球凝集抑制反應會有些干擾。所以我們利用較專一性的西方墨點法(Western blot)偵測不同Antiserum。意外發現兔子Anti-capsid對Denatured VP1辨識非常弱,接近正常血清非專一性反應,人類JCV positive antiserum完全無法辨識Denatured VP1,但由Denatured VP1所產生的抗體卻如預期與Denatured VP1有強烈反應。以上HAI及Western blot得知Native及Denatured VP1對抗體反應截然不同,因此,我們更進一步利用dot blot證實以上的兩個實驗。
