為探討青少女如何與高齡差男伴相識及發生性行為，本研究以1997年台中市出生証明中母親年齡少於20歲者共162人為母群體，樣本包括其男伴年齡屬高齡差男伴者（男伴年齡≧25歲）計67人為病例組，及青少女母親經配對鄰里後選取非高齡差男伴組（男伴年齡<25歲）同樣是67人為對照組。兩組均以自填式結構問卷詢問其社會人口學資料及與男伴間關係和性行為資料，加以統計和比較。結果發現；計有高齡差男伴組51人及非高齡差男伴組51人回覆本調查，總回覆率為76.1%。兩組青少女母親之平均年齡分別為18.4±1.2歲及17.6±1.6歲，達統計學顯著差異。當青少女與其男伴是因同事╱工作中接觸而認識（AOR=5.1，95%C.I.=1.2-21.6）、自認懷孕前性知識充足（AOR=16.1，95%C.I.=2.5-10.5）、結婚是由男女雙方自行決定（AOR=3.7，95%C.I.=1.2-11.3）、結婚原因是雙方原計劃要結婚（AOR=9.5， 95%C.I.=1.6-56.4）者為形成高齡差男伴之顯著危險因素。
To determine the risk factors of adolescent mothers with male partners of large age difference, adolescent mothers aged less than 20 years in Taichung in 1997 were divided into two groups of the cases (male partners≧25 years old) and the controls (male partners<25 years old), and were surveyed by a self-administered structured questionnaire, inquiring about sociodemography, and mechanism and process of interaction between adolescent women and their male partners. The results showed that total response rate was 63.0%, 53.7% and 76.1% for the cases and the controls, respectively. The average age for the cases and controls was 18.4±1.2 years and 17.6±1.6 years, respectively which reached the level of significant difference. Through the logistic regression analysis, adolescent women who made acquaintance with their male partners at workplace (AOR=5.1, 95%C.I.=1.2-21.6), had a better sexual knowledge prior to pregnancy (AOR=16.1, 95%C.I.=2.5-10.5), made the decision of marriage by the couples themselves (AOR=3.7, 95%C.I.=1.2-11.3), and had a planned marriage (AOR=9.5, 95%C.I.=1.6-56.4) were the significant risk factors to have male partners with large age difference.
