Herein we report a case in which patent blue violet (PBV) falsely decreased reading on pulse oximeter, after it was injected into blood vessel for the mapping of lymphatic drainage of tumor. In this case of chromotubation, pulse oximeter reading was found to decrease after intrauterine injection of a small dose (about 3.75 mg) of PBV. We, therefore, report this to alert those concerned about this interference in pulse oximeter results.
