The temporoparietal fascial flap is a thin. pliable layer of richly vascularized tissue .It has large a calibered and long pedicle vessel suitable for anastomosis, and it can be also skin grafted on the surface of the flap on the dorsal part of the hand .The donar site from the scalp is hidden within the hair bearing scalp. The flap has been used to 1. Cover exposed bone, tendon and nerve on the dorsum of the hand. 2. Reestablish a smooth gliding surface, advantageous to extensor tendon function. 3. Provide blood supply to treat or prevent osteomyelitis of the hand. The free temporoparietal fascial flap is transferred for coverage reconstruction of the dorsal surface of the hand. It is an excellent choice for the restoration of an excellent functional result, from the groups of immediate tendon graft, staged graft and tendon transfer under the vascularized temporoparietal fascial flap.
