    Title: 台中市國民小學教師使用維生素/礦物質補充劑狀況之研究
    The Usage Pattern of Vitamin/Mineral Supplements of Elementry School Teachers in Taichung

    Abstract: 本研究室以台中市國民小學教師為研究對象,共隨機抽出10所學校的全體教師為樣本,共計415名。本研究主要目的是在探討國小教師使用維生素/礦物質補充劑之狀況,調查結果發現國小教師有服用維生素的佔52.0%,有服用礦物質者佔21.0%。
    在瞭解是否服用維生素/礦物質補充劑情形與基本資料之相關性時,發現到與教師年齡上有統計出顯著相關(P<0. 01),而與性別、婚姻狀況、教師任教年級、以及是否擔任行政職務則無相關性。
    有關探討256明國小女性教師懷孕時,服用補充劑情況,則是有服用補充劑者佔69.5%,服用補充劑之種類則以服用新寶納多最多佔60.7%,其次是鐵劑39.9%,再次是鈣片36.0%。
    國小教師對維生素/礦物質補充劑之認知行為方面:知道或聽說維生素C最多(86.0%)維生素E(84. 6%);而有服用則以維生素E佔第一位(32.5%),其次是維生素C(28.7%)。知道或聽說礦物質則以鈣佔最多(94.5%),其次是鐵(86.7%),而服用礦物質最多是鈣(96.6%),其次是鐵(29.9%)。
    飲食狀況健康狀況與服用維生素/礦物質補充劑,則發現只有喝牛奶與是否服用維生素補充劑在統計上有意義(P<0.05),其餘則無相關。
    至於健康狀況方面,調查結果是自認健康情形(不佳、尚可、很好者),以及教師知道自己血壓值(屬於正常、低血壓、高血壓者),二者在是否服用維生素補充劑有統計上之相關性,分別是(P<0.05)和(P<0.01)。另外在國小教師目前有無量血壓,量血壓後知道自己的血壓值,以及是否做定期健康檢查等三項與是否服用礦物質補充劑在統計上有相關性(P<0.05)。
    最後探討國小教師在滿分20分的知識部分得分平均是13.6分;女性教師得分是13.8分,男性教師得分12.9分;女性教師得分稍高於男性教師0.9分;在年齡上之得分無差異,平均在13.5分。
    筆者利用t-test統計分析,結果不論有無服用補充劑,在知識得分上,仍無統計上之差異。
    The purpose of this study was to dissect the usage pattern of vitamin/mineral supplements of elementry school teachers in Taichung area.Ten elementry school were random sampling from Taichung area ,and tatoal 415 elementry school teachers were selected in this analysis. The results indicated that 52% of elementry school teachers were using vitamin supplements,and 21% of teachers were taking minerals products.
    In order to know teacher’s background information affecting the usage pattern of vitamin/mineral supplements at all.This mean teacher’s age over 51 year old using more vitamin/mineral supplements periodically.The analyees also indicated that 69.5% female teacher while they were in pregnancy were taking vitamin/mineral supplements with 60.7% of them using新寶納多 ,39.9% of them using the supplements with iron , and 36% of them using the supplements, we found 86% of elementry school teachers were actually using vitamin E, and 28.7% of teacher were truly having vitamin C instead.
    In the know to use mineral supplements, we also found that 94.5% of elementry school teachers were told to use the supplements with calcium, and86.7% of teachers were aware of using supplements with iron while 96.6% of elementry school teachers were actually having calium supplements,and 29.9% of teachers ware truly taking iron supplements.
    In studying the relation of between diet and taking vitamin and mineral supplements,we found having milk was statistieally significant with taking vitamin and mineral supplements, however, the other types of diet did not significantly relate to take vitamin/mineral supplements.
    The statistical analyses demonstrated that teachers thinking they are healthy and teachers measuring their blood pressure were statistically relative (P<0.05 and P<0.01,respectively) to use vitamin supplements. The statistical analyses also indicated that teachers thinking they are healthy and teachers measureing their blood pressure were statistically relative(P<0.05) to use mineral supplements.
    Finally, in studying the konwledge of using vitamin and mineral supplements,we found that in total score of 20, female teachers got 13.8 scores, and male teachers had 12.9 scores ,respectively,with a mean scores of 13.6 in the examination .However ,there was not statistically significant relation in between higher scores of knowledge and truly using vitamin and mineral supplements.
